About Us

Growing Health

A key means to health and sustainability is FOOD. Locally, grown food contributes to physical, psychological, and community/social wellness. We are looking to partner with small, urban and rural community farms to understand these processes + ethics of land stewardship, community care, and sustainable practice

Community-Based

The Black Farmer Project focuses on black-owned farms operating in metropolitan, rural, and coastal communities. We are proud to partner with farmers using a participatory action + community-based (PAR|CBPR) approach to our research.

Research + Advocacy

We are researchers + food advocates, looking to understand and support ways to promote healthy living and healthy food access in urban + rural areas.
